Award winning Public Realm Development
This development consisted of the complete refurbishment of the 1 acre market courtyard and the installation of Irelands largest Tensile Roof Canopy Structure. The project was the recipient of the RIAI Peoples Choice Award, 2011.
The property is a Protected Structure and the historic Limerick City Walls traversed the site underground. These walls have National Monument Status and all works were carried out in accordance with Conservation Engineering principles.
DRA Consulting Engineers provided full civil & structural engineering services for the project. Our design scope included drainage, new courtyard slab, pavilion building and the foundations to the tensile roof structure.
