DRA have specialist knowledge & experience in disputes within construction contracts. It is a reality that disputes occur within construction projects due to their complex nature and the number of parties required to deliver a construction project. The leadership team in DRA Consulting Engineers have acquired specialist training & knowledge in the field of Construction Contract Administration and Construction Law. We also have a proven track record in the administration of construction contracts on behalf of clients.
It is our experience that construction disputes can be mitigated through early involvement and establishment of clear scope, terms and consideration. Clear lines of communication during the construction process is also required to mitigate disputes within construction contracts.
Disputes do occur however within construction contracts and most forms of contract have clear dispute resolution mechanisms. This keeps construction disputes out of the courts insofar as possible and allows for resolution within formal procedures with specialist practitioners.
