Project Description
41 Social Housing Units at Cois Droichid, Greystones, Co. Wicklow
This project consists of the construction of a new residential estate comprising of 41 no. social housing residential units in a mix of single storey, 2-storey and a 3-storey apartment building along with associated site development works.
The form of construction for the houses is rapid build timber frame construction with a masonry external leaf. The apartments are of conventional residential construction utilising loadbearing block work supporting a mix of timber and concrete floors. The roof structures across the development are of prefabricated timber truss construction.
The project was a Design & Build Project and was delivered for Wicklow County Council.
DRA Consulting Engineers provided Civil & Structural Engineering design Services to the Design & Build contractor including structural design, design of site development works and drainage design.
