Housing Scheme of 43 Units – Limerick
This project consisted of the construction of a new housing estate comprising of 43 No. 3-storey, dwelling units and associated site development works.
Due to supply issues and availability of labour, the construction form varied as the estate progressed from timber frame with eco-joist floors to load bearing masonry with precast concrete floors. The form of construction of the foundations varied across the site also from strip footings to raft foundations due to the differing depths of rock encountered.
DRA Consulting Engineers provided full Civil & Structural Engineering Services including design & supervision of drainage works, roads construction, watermains and the structural elements of the housing units. Ancillary Certification in Accordance with the Building Control (Amended) Regulations was provided upon completion.
