Project Description
Clonmacken Development, Condell Road, Limerick.
This overall project consists of the construction of 110 No. Social Housing Units which includes 22 apartments. Phase 1 consisted of the delivery of the first 35 housing units.
DRA Consulting Engineers provided the civil and structural design, supervision and certification along with Assigned Certifier and PSDP Services. At outset of project, H&S design team meeting was convened to discuss potential hazards associated with each discipline. Hazards identified were discussed by design team with aim of designing out. Thereafter all design team members were requested submit their design risk assessments, incorporating avoidance and mitigation measures, to be incorporated into preliminary Health and Safety Plan. Regular meetings between PSDP and PSCS took place during construction works to identify any subsequently identified hazards or issues. Site works included foul and surface water infrastructure constructed under an Irish Water Self Lay Agreement, surface water drainage network with attenuation tank designed in accordance with the Greater Dublin Strategic Drainage Strategy (GDDS), internal site roads and junction with existing public road.
DRA were also responsible for foundation and superstructure designs, inspections and certifications.
